Rio Olympics-bound Inderjeet's 'A' sample taken out of competition on June 22 had returned positive on Monday for a cocktail of steroids and he has been told by NADA to have his 'B' sample tested within seven days, failing which his dope failure will be confirmed.
It has now emerged that the sample taken on June 29 has returned negative, but sources said NADA will proceed on the June 22 dope flunk case.

How can a person have traces of drug a week ago and not find it after a week. That too for out of competition testing. Seriously no idea what is going on in India.

Not puzzled over NArsingh's results......He's said his first report had a high dosage of the drug....tested on june 25 and july 5..so the drug would take some time to leave the system

Inderjeet's case is puzzling

It is said he cleverly evaded a few tests and kept his whereabouts hidden for sometime..he's found to have doped on 2 different drugs both of which aid in muscle growth...

the different results is due to the delay between the dates of testing....more time passes the traces of the drug reduces

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
    • Yeah, they do get broadcast pretty regularly.  I remember even back in Bode Miller's day they would show the training.
