@nitinsanker AFI has posted in Facebook. So its very authentic news.

actually I was not questioning the authenticity but I was hoping there was some youtube link for this run as it is a significant NR......................................

In fact when I went to road to rio for men 4*400....and at 3.02.17 if they can achieve it again would place them 13th in the 4*400 list  on the average score so that is amazing ..... I am hoping they  can have another such run

As far as the womens 4*400 it seems really good as we would also add 5 athletes to our quota list .........................................but as my calculations it seems they are 13th not 12th ?....but either way they seem to have put a decent margin in the margin to be at rio

Lily Das is really promising youngster has I have been following her. I have been mentioning of her from long time in this forum.

Yes, Prashanth. She got this 2min 5.4s in 800m timing in an event with absolutely no competition for her, I rmbr in the Junior nationals a month back she clocked around 4min 10s, so a 5s improvement in a month.

I was just wondering if she can be quickly moved to Europe and compete with Tintu in a couple of events, there's still a month to go for the qualification period to close, and Lily is a junior athlete so can improve much faster than the seniors. Can we somehow contribute here maybe build up an opinion poll quickly on this and share with AFI/PT Usha, even if we are ignored, we can at least make an attempt with facts from our side.

Thoughts and opinions from everyone is welcome on this.

Good idea! I'm in for this. She clocked 2:5.4 which is so cool as the Rio mark is 2:01.50.

They should send her to some international meet immediately. She can go down 4 sec in one month considering her fast improvement ability you mentioned

Lily Das clocked a Junior record breaking 4min 21.5s in 1500m and 2min 5.4s in 800m, in a state level meet in Bengal this week-end.

I have been following her for the past week. And she broke a record each day of the west bengal state meet . Everyday her news occupied a significant position in the bengali dailies sports section in the past week.

    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
    • In Rome, it would be useful to roof the swimming pool complex at Foro Italico, possibly with the option of retracting the roof and covering the tennis court complex. Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
