After Day 1 of Laser Standard World Championship for Men, the three Indians currently stand at 84th, 101st and 133rd. This is a qualification event for Laser Standard event and five quota places in offer. An additional two places are available in Asian championships.

South Korea and Malaysia have already qualified and hope is one of the Asian countries also qualify in this event increasing our chances for Asian championships. Currently Singaporean sailor is ranked 45 and Bahraini sailor is ranked 48 after Day1

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
