A judge needs to uphold laws, not have a certain political (even if officially they're unaffiliated) standpoint on said laws... Do they all campaign "I'll sentence people according to the law"? That makes it hard to choose Yes, that is what a lot of them say. Some bar associations put out assessments of the candidate's credentials, so I may take those into account. Some judges will also explain their ideas when it comes to sentencing (ie. correctional support v. long sentences), while other's provide long personal bios about their attachments/service to the community for people to consider. “Sport has the power to change the world.
