That's why it makes even more sense to have one Gundersen and one Mass start competition at the Olympics. Simply because one favors sprinters while in other it doesn't really matter if you miss out in sprint finish. ;)

Compared with both the sprint and pursuit in biathlon being a medal event at the Olympics, having two Gundersen events is the most fair thing ever :d

    • Most people know taekwondo from watching the Olympics. However, only sparring is recognized in the Games - poomsae (forms) is completely left out.     • Also, other results of note    Jimmy Gressier with a new European record of 12:51 in the men's 5km at the Urban Trail de Lille, moving to #2 on the all-time list and only about two seconds off the WR.    In the women's 5km, 17 year old  Marta Alemayo went 14:15 to move to #3 on the all-time list.    14 year old  Camryn Dailey with an U14 WR of 22.73 in the girls 200m into headwind at the Florida Relays, and another 14 year old  Melanie Doggett was 2nd in 22.80     Max Thomas 9.90 PB in the men's 100m at the Florida Relays, now #2 on the top list for the season    Monae Nichols with a PB of 7.07m in women's long jump at the Miramir Invitational   22.25 for  Mariah Maxwell in the women's 200m at the Texas Relays, although 3.8m/s wind.
    • Keep an eye for  Shanoya Douglas in the upcoming years...   22.11 in the U20 200m, new WL and tied for #3 on the U20 all-time list with the legend Allyson Felix, and 11.13 in the U20 100m despite a bad start at the CARIFTA Games. And she's 18 years old
