Winter Universiade 2017

The last 4 starters in the women's biathlon individual standing at 2, 3, 4 and 5 after the first shooting, this is promising a nice final part of the competition :)

Biathlon production is quite awful. They are just showing the people in the stands and the current leaders.

Only fitting that our Eurosport commentator (who apart from that is doing a good job to be fair, considering he is actually the athletics commentator) has already said at least 6-7 times that Alina Raikova doesn't compete outside things like the Universiade anymore in the past few years :p

Aaaaand of course right when I write this, he corrects his mistake after almost one hour and says she competed in the World Cup this season :d

Ski jumping at the nordic combined was cancelled, but I don't see any Provisional Competition Round result....how are they gonna solve that, do the cross-country first and then ski jumping (which seems incredibly awkward) or move the jumping and start the XC later?

They already have mass start competition scheduled where XC will be the first stage.

I guess they'll reschedule the competition for tomorrow, hopefully women's alpine combined too.

Oh yeah, because doing the XC first makes sense and will make it easier to watch.

56+ minutes skiing time, that must be one of the longest individual races ever at this kind of level :yikes:

Even in Arber they were 10 minutes faster than that and there was a huge amount of fresh snow there as well..

Takahashi :JPN passed Yekaterina Aydova :KAZ in the very, very last meters at the speed skating!:yikes:

There goes Aydova's mission to win three individual gold medals, although her two best events (500 and 1000) are still to come.

Well the course seems pretty hard too

Btw, it's as if Kazakhs expected the fog to come, since they all started early pretty much. :p
