:USA Marilyn Little and Scandalous are in the lead after the first day of dressage in Luhmuhlen. Few riders might challenge her tomorrow, Hoy primarily. Leaderbord here.

Oh, and I forgot to mention it last week. :JPN Yoshiaki Oiwa & Calle have won quite a strong 3* eventing competition in Braham last weekend... This up and coming partnership seems to be very much on a roll. Don't act all surprised if Japan snatches a medal in eventing in Tokyo. :p

Some cool news from Czech Republic today.

:SVK Michael Bugan & For President got the first out of two required 65% qualifying scores for European Dressage Championships this summer... :yes Here's hoping he makes it, would be a historic achievement for Slovakia. :fingers:

Meanwhile, :HUN Aniko Losonczy & Mystery managed to get their second 65% score. She becomes the third qualified Hungarian meaning that they will field a team for the first time in decades. :)

Bettina Hoy is leading both of the competitions in Luhmuhlen. Amazing

Leading the German CIC3* Championships with Seigneur Medicott with 26.3 penalties after XC.

Leading the CCI4* with Designer with 36.0 penalties after XC.

Dressage Nations Cup in Rotterdam is in progress... USA with a serious chance to lead in front of Dutch after today. :yikes: Dutch are supposed to be unbeatable in Rotterdam. :p

Rotterdam weekend over, Americans indeed managed to beat the Dutch. It's not like the Dutch are winning everything these days, but seeing how Rotterdam is always their selection event they always have their best team here (other nations mostly didn't have the best riders).

But anyway, it has been quite a weird weekend altogether. Funny weather, flying objects, spectators loudly falling in the stands during competition and so on. All this atmosphere caused some unusually bad scores in the dressage portion of the event though.

Gust of wind blew away the entire long side of dressage arena during Anabel Balknahol's ride. :d

Perhaps my favourite annual equestrian event of the year started today, CDI Fritzens, Austria. :d These surroundings (especially when sunny)...

Victory for Judy Reynolds on the opening day btw. 75.560%, just missed out on breaking her own Irish Grand Prix record for like the milionth time. :d
