Apparently FIVB wants to change it's name - they claim it is too long and that's what makes Volleyball less recognizable than it should be :lol:

I was right for 4. place :rolleyes::d

Congrats Belarus for medal in women's volleyball :thumbup::cheer: Our team deserved this 4. place. They had chance in both matches in playoffs. 2x 3:2. Whit stupid mistakes especially today, they lost medal. But deserved.

Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 7, 2017 – Argentina coach Julio Velasco summoned 30 players from the men’s senior, U23 and junior teams to the Cenard facilities on April 3 to start preparing for the busy 2017 volleyball season.

Key player Facundo Conte will not see action this season. In agreement with coach Velasco, he will take a year’s break to be ready for bigger challenges in 2018 and 2020.

Velasco had a difficult decision to make but considered the importance of giving Conte some rest this year to put him in the best conditions for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Velasco also offered his veteran players, including captain Luciano De Cecco, a year off this season after playing for 10 consecutive international seasons, but the superstar setter chose to be part of the team.

Tommorow it's start of the U19 Boy's European Championships in :SVK and :HUN and we are hoping for a medal :champion:

:HUN:POL, :ITA , :RUS , :BUL , :BEL will play in Pool A in Gyor, Hungary

:SVK, :ROU, :TUR, :FIN , :FRA , :CZE will play in Pool B in Puchov, Slovakia,

All play-off matches will then be played in Gyor.

As was the case with women's championships, the top 6 teams will advance to the world championships (and my bet is they would be :FRA,:RUS,:POL,:ITA:SVK and :FIN  )

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
