The song is not that great. I think most will agree on this.

 

However, having following a lot of Eurovision fans on Twitter, this announcement has brought out the worst in them... one of them misspoke about booing her because of her ability to sing and is trying to save face (but a few of them arguing with him see through his bullshit). Some others are saying that she is a puppet used by Russian TV to gain sympathy since Ukraine is hosting. And some are comparing her to Monika Kuszynska (spelling?) from 2015. Overall, the reactions from the fans were a mess.

 

And they didn't behave like this when Australia joined the contest

From an open submission to a shortlist of six to just one lucky act — Bulgaria has now selected their act for Eurovision 2017. The lucky artist heading to Kyiv is the 16-year-old Bulgarian-Russian singer, Kristian Kostov. Kristian has plenty of television experience. He was a finalist in the first season of the Russian edition of The Voice Kids and a runner-up in the fourth season of the Bulgarian X Factor.

 

PS. I thought Junior Eurovision was in november :d The song should be out today.

      Also, other results of note    Jimmy Gressier with a new European record of 12:51 in the men's 5km at the Urban Trail de Lille, moving to #2 on the all-time list and only about two seconds off the WR.    In the women's 5km, 17 year old  Marta Alemayo went 14:15 to move to #3 on the all-time list.    14 year old  Camryn Dailey with an U14 WR of 22.73 in the girls 200m into headwind at the Florida Relays, and another 14 year old  Melanie Doggett was 2nd in 22.80     Max Thomas 9.90 PB in the men's 100m at the Florida Relays, now #2 on the top list for the season    Monae Nichols with a PB of 7.07m in women's long jump at the Miramir Invitational   22.25 for  Mariah Maxwell in the women's 200m at the Texas Relays, although 3.8m/s wind.

      Keep an eye for  Shanoya Douglas in the upcoming years...   22.11 in the U20 200m, new WL and tied for #3 on the U20 all-time list with the legend Allyson Felix, and 11.13 in the U20 100m despite a bad start at the CARIFTA Games. And she's 18 years old
