so it seems that it will be :CAN vs :USA in the ice hockey final. Rivals meet again

It's 2-0 after the first, I don't think it's over quite yet

It will be miracle if Canada finishes with 20+ medals, and I wouldn't bet more than the 4 gold we have. By far the least total since 2002, and least golds since 1994. Absolutely terrible Games.

Well Canada is guaranteed at least 19 medals so 29 shouldn't be a problem. Still disappointing though.

Guaranteed medals are the only ones they can win right now.

Tbf short track is like the least predictable sports out here, and like just about anything can happen.

But yeah gotta hope that eventually the government wakes up and sees that their stinginess comes with horrible results. If we don't get some actual funding results like this could become a norm for the future.

Man, I am so disappointed in the short track team. After pretty mediocre 2022/2018, and a disasterous 2014, I thought this was going to make up for all of it. Instead, they suck even more. I think I need to move from Short Track. Oh! It's unpredictable! No, Canada just can't get it done when it matters. Go win another 10 medals in Montreal when non one's watching.

Nothing "unpredictable" happened in the relay, Canada just sucked. Nothing happened in any of Dandjinou's races, he just didn't have it. Sarault going down, that's unpredictable and bad luck. But eventually you have to make your own luck. When it's consistently the same country that is falling and getting penalized over 4 Olympics, it's time to start looking inward.

True but when it comes to these types of results that consistently happen many orgs take this as a signal that it's time to clean house.

I feel the worst part is I don't think that is gonna fix anything. Or at the very least I'm very skeptical it will. Like there doesn't seem to be anything that'll ensure we get better results in 2030 as of now.
