[OFF TOPIC] Eurovision Song Contest 2026

Recommended Posts

So tonight Super Saturday with :BUL , :FIN , :GER , :ITA , :NOR and :SRB all choosing their entries.

Will be watching Pesma za Euroviziju and San Remo and probably fall asleep when final selection comes. :d

It's anyone's game in Sanremo, with at least 4-5 singers who could win. In recent days, Sal Da Vinci has gained ground, as has rookie Sayf. Brancale is in sharp decline and may not even make it to the final.

Wow, Norway really wants nq after couple of horrible selections in recent years.

For some reason all love Serbia's song, but to me it's borderline (we've seen all the hype from Luke Black, and his final result).

Finland made the only right decision,

Italy - WTF? Like this song is fucking outdated. I don't mind when it's nostalgic, but this is just horrible song for Eurovision. How could you not send Ditonellapiaga who by far destroyed everyone with the staging?

Bulgaria - messy as hell, I expected more from Dara since I knew her beforehand. There are some catchy parts, but they did not sound cogesive at all.

Germany - great job, although public vote didn't like neither those songs neither Germany.

Interesting to see so many countries withdrew this year because of Israel's participation. Very different from 1975, after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus of July 1974, Turkey was actually INVITED to participate in Eurovision for the first time which led to Greece withdrawing.

I'm not sure if this is a case of double standards or people changing their views :mumble:

    • many athletes didn't get their visa 2  Schengen , canada , usa ...do it all the time  it's a new strategy to increase the chance of medals
    • Four  (Duguma, Berha, Kalayu, Siyoum) got denied visas even though they competed in Toruń in Febraury  Must be some Schengen visa rules crap?
    • Yep, I actually think this Schwaller team is only just getting better every single year, and there’s not many viable options at third and fourth in the Swiss women’s curling scene, there’s only some good but not great players.   If Paetz and Tirinzoni both retire before the next quadrennial (likely for Tirinzoni, she said at the end of last year that the recent GSOC event would be her last) then Berset-Witschonke-Howald-Hurlimann is the best you can do and I don’t think the firepower is there. If Paetz keeps going, and it’s Witschoke-Howald-Hurlimann-Paetz then it’ll be interesting, but it’s also hard to predict.
    • The Canucks have started their tank this season and now we’re awful, so I’ll only be watching when the playoffs start  at least we get a guaranteed top 3 pick, but even that probably won’t go our way.   Fencing WC’s are interesting yep, if I can find a stream and if our top fencers are competing or make it to the R16 or further.    Speaking of basketball, I forgot about NBA
