These skiiers also selected to the olympics: Maja Dahlqvist Moa Ilar Linn Svahn Johanna Hagström Emma Ribom Alvar Myhlback Anton Grahn But one of Svahn, Hagström and Ribom will probably just be there watching as we can only pick two sprinters apart from Sundling and Dahlqvist who should be safe. And Karlsson, Andersson, Ilar and Sundling will probably go all distance races. -
It seems Jéssica Carolina Santos Rodrigues (or any other Portuguese skater) doesn't meet any required standard time to qualify. She needs 39''50 or 1'18''00 by mid-January, with SB/PB of 40''04 and 1'18''82. Same goes for Philip Due Schmidt . Don't know if ISU will give them some slack, if not they'll need to chase those qualifying times. If they fail to reach them, how will the quota be redistributed ? Logically R1 would be awarded a "direct" spot, which would change things as wR1 is Nizan and mR1 is Yakubovskiy two countries with only one quota spot. France would get a second quota, allowing them to enter two athletes and obtain a second starter in the MS (with already one additional quota). Kazakhstan would be able to enter a second skater (presumably Yakubovskiy) who could take part to the MS (at the moment they potentially could obtain an additional quota, but Koshkin probably won't participate in the MS). -

Am I correct this allocation is not final and have time till the 19th of Janiary to get proper FIS-points? -
An interesting detail. Russians still use fluorine in domestic races. Therefore, they do not have normal experience in using modern ski waxes and do not have experience in preparing skis for fast Alpine snow too. In this situation, the Italian team helps them prepare their skis. Marcus Kramer, who has experience working in Russia and now works with Italy, used his current position to help the Russians prepare their skis. @copravolley Is Italian ski federation ok with this? And if they will get Italian wax-service at the Olympics?

Stolz participated in the mass start in Heerenveen, but fell. I don’t know whether he started in the earlier two world cups, but have a vague memory of him participating in the past (but may well suffer from valse recall). -
If only they'd continue after China instead of going all the way back to the top (of those with under 8 quota) again.
