:LTU Klaipėda City Council has decided to withdraw from organizing future editions of The Tall Ships Races due to low overall participation, which fails to justify the costs involved compared to the benefits for the city.

quite a good start of the new Olympic cycle for the Italian crews

very promising newcomers and re-shuffled teams in the women's Ilca 6 and mixed 470, still on the right page the stars of the team (Renna and Pianosi), Giubilei & Ugolini now ready to take Tita/Banti's heritage, even if Today's poor medal race painfully cost them the gold medal

only negative outing, women's Olympic iQFoiL champion, Marta Maggetti

let's see if they can deliver also in the next stages and in the more important championships :fingers:

this is huge!

the 38th America's Cup will be held in Italy, in Naples (in the Gulf's area between Castel Dell'Ovo and Posillipo) in the Spring / Summer 2027 (the exact dates will be announced later) :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

most likely, it's gonna be the most spectacular backdrop ever for the historical regatta

Unlucky championship...the competition has been badly influenced by the awful weather conditions that allowed the sailors to complete less than half the program, with both titles awarded after a bare minimum of 5 (men) and 6 (women) races only :facepalm:

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
    • Here's my calculations of the quotas. I believe you are correct about Italy having 3 quotas in men's singles.   Men's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:   data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==   Women's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Men's Doubles   2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Women's Doubles   1 Quota:

    • Mykolas and Rūta are athletes of the year,no surprises there.
    • what the heck ? how are some rowers who placed 5th at worlds more of a breakthrough of the year then Tajus Juška ? ,especially after the season that he had ? i need to know who actually voted for them,this is utterly stupid.
