2025 European Championships ( Leipzig)

 

 won the women's Team event at the European Championships for the 3rd straight year (4th title in total)

 

despite a new team (among the girls that won the silver medal in Paris last year, only Manila Esposito and Alice D'Amato are in this year's team) and many mistakes (5 falls in the various excercises), they easily beat the Home Nation  and

despite a fall at the Vault,  Manila Esposito was the best in the women's All-Around prelims ahead of  Ana Barbosu and  Helen Kevric

however, in the men's Team event, comfortable Gold Medal for  ahead of  

 just edged out the Home Nation  for bronze

I am little bit surprised that Meszaros finished that high. Will see if he can keep this form all the way.

The new mixed format is really a Russian roulette. I really hope that this will not be the Olympic format.

Hopefully they will change the apparatuses. I don't think both the men and women should compete in floor just so we can have some variety.

 

I'd rather have PH, PB, HB for men and UB, BB, FE for women.

it's more about tactics than actual skill

tbh, they should be free to choose from all 6/4 disciplines, but, better, this event shouldn't even exist!

however, in the new Mixed Team event,  Germany won the gold medal on Home soil, beating  Great Britain in the final, meanwhile  Italy defeated  France for bronze

 Manila Esposito just won the gold medal for the second time in a row in the women's All-Around competition at the European Champs   

 Alba Petisco got the silver medal (way behind Esposito) and  Ana Barbosu won the bronze medal
