Archery Discussion | Qualification to Summer Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 Road to LA 2028

world archery has already taken this new quota distribution for official ;)

they already wrote an article about the chance to have more individuals from "exotic" places rather than the usual powerhouses that already monopolize the team events

12 x 2 might have been preferable to 8 x 3 - if mixed and compound mixed can do pairs, no real reason why men and women's team can't - the twelve men's and women's quotas sliced off then go to the compound pairs, and while you have 12 less archers in the recurve individual, you have the same number of nations as the last time (12+28)

If its going to be 8x3, that's a pretty short slightly uninteresting competition, unless you mess arond and create/add a bronze medal repechage (i.e four beaten quarter finalists play off to meet the two beaten semi finalists before the bronze match)

WORLD RECORD ALERT!

1431 points in the mixed compound for India's Vennam and Yadav, who beat the WR of the Danish pair by 2 points.

    • I think perhaps he's asking what led to the change in the quotas?  What events have there been to change your predictions?  ( @MatiReimundo lo puedes preguntar en español si no es así.)
    • I hope not, but, with the man with the dead squirrel on his head in command, I wouldn't be surprised at all
    • Sorry, my mistake. You lost a men's quota (down from 2 to 1) and you gained a dressage quota
    • I wonder if the whole of Cuba will find a way to boycott LA?
    • American teams can't participate to final OQT,  are definitely out
