A thread to discuss all things related to the upcoming winter Olympics 

 

We’re less than two years out, and while Canada has already qualified their first athletes in ice hockey, the qualification period is really starting to ramp up up.

Whenever I have time in the upcoming year and a half (might not), I’ll try my best to share previews of some of the Olympic qualification events (including Olympic Trials for Canada, mixed doubles is from late December to early January by the way), but if anyone wants to do their own though I’m not stopping anyone

Field is set for the Canadian Curling Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials, with 16 teams looking to rep the Maple Leaf at the upcoming World Championships, but more importantly the Olympics in a little over a years time.

I’m surprised we’re only seeing a couple double up between four-person and mixed doubles.

 

As for rooting interests, I’m hoping for Peterman/Gallant or Homan/Bottcher. If not, Walker/Muyers, Lott/Lott, Jones/Laing or Weagle/Epping.

Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials start in less than a week!

Rather than a last minute decision between people who have failed to qualify in the men's/women's team they are taking this event seriously.

 

This time, it might be a bit too early
