They honestly need to punish two footed landings more severely. Not just because it’s the sport but for safety too.

Judges significantly lower their scores for that. Another thing is that if you land very far, it's actually safer to land on two feet than to do a telemark.

Yes, men also land on two feet when they're near the flat part of the run off and most men falls happen as a result of the jump lenght and not due to technique errors. Catching an edge in telemark landing happens less often. Moreover men are capable to lean backwards horizontally in case of a really long jump, for women it's much harder due to a bigger chest area (duh) and we hardly see this happen for them. Overall women's falls aren't so much related to the lenght of the jump like in men's cases. It's been like mid-90s when even top male skiers deliberately landed on two feet (like Christof Dufner for instance). These days basically only Simon Ammann is notorious for frequently faking a telemark on purpose and well, he's in his 40s anyway.

Austria- the actually male dominant in ski jumping and former female powerhouse, has essentially collapsed in women's ski jumping: Pinkeling's injury, Kramer and Jaqueline's end of careers... They are left with two girls from the wide top  : Eder and Muehlbacher. For of today, I don't see them competing for a medal in mixed doubles, even considering the excellent form of their male team. Individually, of course, Eder has very little chance of winning a medal. It's very strange that a powerhouse like Austria has fallen so far in such a strong sport for many years.
