Is there a list of which countries those 10 quotas would go to if things ended now?

Those ten quotas go to NOCs who have not earned a quota yet, so they would have to have a WC result of less than 300 fis points. So you would have to guess who still out there is capable. After that the unfilled quotas go into reallocation: so men it is the top of the list down from the qualification standings, women would start at 6th (where they left off filling up to the max). look here https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/v2/quota/list/owg/cc/2026 for detailed list is who is up next.

Thanks! By the looks of it, this isn't really something worth keeping an eye on from a Brazilian women's perspective, unlike four years ago (when they missed out on an extra spot by I believe 1 position) it doesn't look at all realistic for them to get a third spot.

All women from non-qualified countries who currently have under 400 distance FIS points:

I assume Iceland for example won't be able to get a quota through World Cups: they have one, they just don't have an eligible athlete (yet).

So :MKD, :ESP, :BIH, :MDA might have a chance of getting a women's quota in the World Cup route, it seems - Thailand will probably need Karen Chanloung to do something.

.

Kristun Gudnadottir :ISL had a 265.65 yesterday in Olos in sprint, not sure how much that helps. I think in 2022 the reallocation went 15 spots down so maybe, so maybe just teasing again. Or maybe with this new format there is less likelihood of that many reallocations, not sure.

That should at least be a first step for her towards qualifying. More importantly I think it shows her shape is good enough to score the required FIS points in distance races (where lower points are easier than in sprints). Still a bit to go, but I think she has a very good chance to make it and the only reason she didn't already is because she didn't compete much in the past years.

.

Meanwhile, our Totallympian races again tomorrow morning, 09.22 CET, 10k freestyle in Muonio. Main rival (and, again, former MTB coach, which is why fighting her now is such a sour thing) Jaque starts one and a half minute later, with two Lithuanians in between them. Two important things from Bruna's/my/our point of view: of course beating Jaque, but at least equally as important hoping that Jaque scores, let's say, at least around 180 points, preferrably higher (the A criteria thing).

Spoiler

I strongly dislike cheering against someone like this, especially considering we all had some nice times in Trondheim during the world championships and they even helped make sure I could get into the stadium and certain areas to help Bruna out. However, if there's only one ticket available, I assume it's clear who I'd hope that ticket goes too and in that case it's not the one I don't share a household with :p

.

Fun fact: due to the cold tomorrow morning, an exception is made and electronically warmed socks are allowed :p

Not bad news for Bruna, who got a pair today after hearing about it. Might help to especially not have her left foot frozen, which still happens basically every time since the accident.

.

That did not go well. Got beaten by Jaque by nearly 2 minutes. Jaque ends up with, if I am not mistaken, 164 FIS points, which is of course a step to the dreaded sub-150, but on the other hand: if she does this every single distance race from now on, it still won't be enough to end up under 150 (even with last season's 127).

One somewhat unfortunate bit of luck is Kerttu Niskanen: if she had been 0,5 seconds slower, she would have been out of the top-5, Sofie Krehl would have been 5th and because of that everyone would have gotten 13 points higher. But yeah, we don't control that :p

.

Gällivare tomorrow (classic sprint), Saturday (10k classic, which Bruna has decided to also include in her program now) and Sunday (10k freestyle).

However, especially tomorrow and Saturday are in doubt. Decision about whether or not to hold tomorrow's race will be made no later than 09.15h, due to the intense cold it may be cancelled.
