What's with these groups by the way? Netherlands is in a group with Serbia in all three weeks, but plays Serbia exactly zero times

Thank God Cuba is an inconsistent team. When they play well, they're quite scary.

Cuba was one of our great rivals in the 1990s, along with the Netherlands. The last time they were strong was in 2010 at the World Champ.

Plus the notorious escapes of their best players from the country - for example, Leon played against them today but previously also Juantorena, Leal, etc.

We have a lot of good players in his position: Michieletto, Lavia, Porro, Bottolo, Rinaldi.

 

Ukraine is already 90% in the F8, becouse they now have two weaker opponents: Serbia and Canada.

I don't think we need him, because it's famous Ukrainian tradition to rig the squads and destroy the atmosphere which affected whole thing (practiced a lot with our kayak/rowing quadruple sculls), we have good guys from U-22, so it can be something without him

I remember he played in the 2022 World Champ. and everything was fine. Maybe he has a conflict with coach Lozano?
