Whilst I'm sure she's disappointed, 10th in the world is still damn fine.

Sorry that sounded harsh. It’s just i remmeber her being mentioned a medal contender at previous games and she has never got particularly close.

The margins in shooting tend to be incredibly tight. It also tends to be one of the least predictable sports, at least in my experience.

GB losing to France in the hockey and Italy in the Tennis.... one of those to be expected, the other certainly not *sigh*

The BBC call him a medal hopefull, based pn 2022 was justified for the 1500m, but not on anything since due to all the injuries.

    • Franchi had a similarly impressive performance at the 2023 World Championships on the same distance but later she completly missing. I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are some booms of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
