that's absolutely respected...AZE only gets Bayramov's quota in any case

this is not a problem

the only question is the order of attribution of that quota place

Formally, if Azerbaijan will have a quota for the WCh, it will be their second quota.

that's why in the rules «respecting the maximum quota per gender or per NOC».

I don't really think so

Bayramov got his original quota at the continetal tournament...that's the quota place to be reallocated if he gets the WC place (which is obvious, since he is the 1st in line that didn't get a WC quota)

p.s. however I won't be surprised if :ITA don't get that OQP, it's obvious that UWW cheaters now have our Country in the target for any possible form of disrespect

I only hope that our NOC would fight until the end, going also to the Swiss Civil Court if necessary

Your interpretation Is the only logical one and the fairest because when the WCh were held Bayramov was not qualified, but the rules of reallocation are different, stupid , but different, i really fear the quota Is going tò China.

no, if he gets the WC quota, the continental place is the one to be reallocated because of that rule...the world champs were held months earlier

just try to imagine the timeline...AZE gets the 2023 reallocation, than in 2024 they can't get that 2nd quota and another reallocation comes in play

Again, let's check women's 62kg and 68kg reallocations for Tokyo 2020.

The situation was the same and the rules were the same.

They didn't apply the "cascade" reallocation procedure or the outcome would have been different.

Of course I'd prefer Chamizo getting the quota, but let's not have wrong expectations, he's almost certainly out.

But only AIN quota is reallocated.

according to your version, Azerbaijan's and AIN quota should be reallocated.

but it is wrong.

once AIN quota is reallocated, the rest comes automatically, like a waterfall...

OK, let`s see what a trial court thinks about it

in any case, all those who read the rules without taking into consideration the "consecutio temporum" should go back to school (or in jail, if they do it intentionally :bones:)

Your are right, but " not yet qualified" Is related at the time of the reallocation not at the time the tournament was held also because everybody Is not qualified when every qualification tournament was held. But i also think that Is written badly and Cas could change the decision because the only logical reallocation Is the one that sees the first under the line in the moment  the tournament was held take the spot and then the others ( if there are others) like a waterfall.

Guys, all those interpretations are fair and valid.

But in the end UWW will do what it feels it's right and we have no idea what it will be.

We have seen in this cycle some pretty absurd interpretations of its own rules by IFs.

Terrible situation. From 2022 they knew they would have to make difficult decisions and only at the last minute would they do so and create even more chaos. It was exactly the same in 2016, but then the situation with doping was new. Now they were over 2 years and it would be the same.

    • I think the reason is that it's generally preferable to have a fast shooter in the 1st leg, and especially in the prone shooting, where Hofer is quite slow.   Now, I'm not saying I agree with the choice, because I don't. I think it's going to neutralize Giacomel's skiing skills in the 1st lap at least.   I guess the idea is to try and set a very fast pace in the 1st leg, which is usually quite tactical, but I'm afraid that's going to force Giacomel to risk too much because he will feel he has to make some time somehow.   Regardless, Italy must be on the podium tomorrow. I think that would be crucial for the following races as well. I think France is the clear favorite, but the other teams are not stronger than Italy on paper.
