Congrats to Serbia for not taking the VNL seriously. I'm sure taking a team that only played 3 friendlies this year to the Olympics was a great decision.

Truth be told, many countries would give a fortune for a setters like Macris or Ratzke.

Honestly, all the top teams have better setters. Maybe Italy, but I think Orro has improved a lot, and anyway, it's one thing to have Egonu who can carry a game by herself. Brazil doesn't have that luxury and they should accept it, but it seems like they're trying to turn Gabi into some kind of super OH, which unfortunately she's not.

 

That's not how we won two Olympics. We need different plays, this team has enough quality that is wasted. Of course I'm blaming the setters for the emotion, but the main culprit is the coach, for sure.

It is embarrassing what is happening. They accidentally added an extra point to Turkey and the Italian coach went to point it out to the referee. Fortunately it was removed....
