Oh totally, I’m just not sure why they would call it “the breakaway” when the actual name is nowhere close to it. Then again given some of the stuff they share on here, I’m not really that surprised.

I assume because it kinda feels like it's marketed as a breakaway event, an alternative for the Diamond League. Anyhow, we'll see how it goes

Jakob Ingebritsen's Half Marathon debut in Copenhagen was not really an roaring success.  I'm sure he'll put a bit more planning into it next time.  He set a  10k road record on the way, but seems to have turned down the thermometer after that.

Road Running and Marathons for the next few weeks, but we also have the Third Edition of the European U-20 Club DNA shootout from Portugal this weekend.  The Format is 12 teams from different European Countries, two quick (circa 150 mins for a range of events) Cup Matches of 6 teams each on Saturday, then a B Final and A Final on Sunday.  All live on YT.

Info is at that link now.  It's really more of a promo than a meet.  But it's on YT anyway.

Not typical a sport news, but worth to mention. Konrad Bukowiecki and Natalia Kaczmarek did married today. From now officialy Natalia will change her surname to Bukowiecka, she will not follow her team mates and will not have double surname
