Competition Format

 

Preliminary Round
May 30th - June 3rd, 2018
7 Nations, 2 Groups, the 1st and 2nd Nations from each Group will qualify for the Semifinals, the 3rd Nation from Group B will qualify for the 5th Place Match, the 3rd Nation from Group A and the 4th Nation from Group B will qualify for the 5th-7th Placement Matches

7 Nations, Placement Matches, Semifinals, Bronze Medal Match and Gold Medal Match, the winning Nation will be the Women's Field Hockey Tournament at the South American Games 2018 Champion

    • That’s good news. There’s been no mention of the team in the local papers at all. If they go, I think they’ll be the first Philippine athletes to represent the country in a team event at the World Games.
    • No, Lake Placid won the bid to be the back-up host over St Moritz and Igls. I don’t believe any other track expressed interest.
