Serious question… assuming Canada and United States win their respective quarterfinal matches, how the heck does the draw have them meeting in the semifinals?? Two best Pan American regions, and both topped their pool?

Results page was wrong for a second, Canada is on the opposite side of the draw.

Men’s goalball team loses in the semifinals, in a direct battle for a Paralympic quota with the USA.

Far from the favourite, but still would’ve been nice to qualify especially considering this was their final chance.

Wheelchair rugby team also loses their direct battle for a Paralympic quota (losing to the US again) but will have another chance next year and should qualify there.

In terms of individual medals, a further two medals were added with Anthony Bouchard won gold in men’s 100m T52 athletics, and Jagdev Gill won men’s 100m freestyle S10 swimming. Robert Shaw also advanced to the gold medal match in quads tennis.

Big day tomorrow, with the quad singles final, men’s wheelchair basketball semifinals, women’s goalball gold medal match (Final Paralympic Qualifier), women’s basketball gold medal match (Paralympic Qualifier), and boccia teams and pairs pool play action.
