TeamGB 71 Posted November 3, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2023 Seeing the qualifying taking place for Paris and "unfair" quotas given to NOCs in some sports, I am going to try and create an alternate qualifying scenario if continental quotas (and host ones), were discarded and reallocated to everyone, just to see what effect that would have. I suspect that while the big non-European nations will see a drop, it will be more devastating from a percentage point of view to the smaller non-European nations. Europe as a whole will benefit the most. Just be careful to not exclude athletes which didn't participate in qualifiers because they have already qualified via continental qualifies. Fair enough. I support some tweaks to continental quotas, but host quotas should almost certainly stay.
