I don't think that one between and will finish 17th. It is still highly possible that Ukraine or Italy enters top-4 instead of the USA. Thus the USA will take American quota. Both european teams look much more motivated since US quota is almost sealed.

phelps 7,628 Posted February 24 #194 Share Posted February 24 no. #1 seed lost to in the round of 16 in the team world cup in Heidenheim! it won't change much, but that's what you get when your best player is totally out of shape (and it's quite some time...it starts to be worrying) and your no.2 player (who's won a bronze medal the day before) is not even on the squad right now we're set for the quarterfinals: vs vs biggest surprise of the day, knocked out in the round of 32 vs (key match, with both teams currently tied at the 4th place in the OQR) vs (another surprising team, they knocked out in the round of 16) *if lose, need to earn a lot of points to close down the distance between them and keep the pace to steal the Asian OQP in the last event, as are going to drop our of the top 4 of the OQR) Benolympique and Josh 1

But at the same time - it was the best performance of in thie men`s epee qualification period. We lost to in the QF at the priority minute only and were ahead with 11 seconds to the end. So the team proved that it is not as weak as it was several months ago. Of course it is too late to fight for Olympic quota. But with the return of Svichkar we can find our way to strengthen our raking position.

phelps 7,628 Posted February 24 #198 Share Posted February 24 (edited) won bronze __________________________ after Today's results, are mathematically qualified to Paris 2024 might still earn the 4th spot (especially if lose the GMM later Today), but it's highly unlikely however, they still have a 26 point-margin over for the Asian spot have no more chances to make the top 4 of the OQR, but they're safe as the best Panamerican team have a 8-point margin over and a 15-point margin over ( are also not mathematically out yet, but basically their chances are only theoretical) for the European spot, provided keep their place in the Top 4 at the end of the final OQT Edited February 24 by phelps Josh

phelps 7,628 Posted February 24 #200 Share Posted February 24 (edited) good news for also in the women and men's Foil World Cup in Cairo among the men, the final act is an all-Italian affair between Tommaso Marini and Edoardo Luperi among the women, instead, it's a replay of the last tournament, with Martina Favaretto facing the Olympic Champion, Lee Kiefer Edited February 24 by phelps
