Unless Canada makes it to the semi-finals will only be one since the team event is single elimination now :P

 

The qualifying a women's team also essentially guarantees that we will have a quota in women's single, since North America still has a dedicated quota.

Edward Ly won gold at the Pan American Cup (what a breakthrough for him) and Zhang Mo won the bronze medal (she beat defending Pan Am Games Champion Adriana Díaz on her way to the bronze).

Just took a look at the updated rankings, and apparently Edward Ly had shot up from 177 to 37 with that title

Adding on to that, it looks like Eugene Wang and Edward Ly will be our representatives in the men’s singles event.
