Close match in volleyball.

The bigger question is why is the BBC so anti-Canada in every sport?  This goes further than just pro-home team.  They seem to root against every Canadian in every sport.  Weird.

They root against anyone that's not one of the home nations. Australia and NZ get their fair share of anti antipodean feeling not just Canada. The hockey SF between NZ and England and both SF of the Netball when NZ played Jamaica and Australia played England was borderline embarrassing. I thought the crowd being shocked that Hoare an Australian upsetting the favorite Wightman in the 1500m and being hugged and congratulated by Tanner (NZ runner) was the most beautiful thing lol. I've got nothing against Wightman coz I like him but the commentary was so shocked and lost for words was quite stunning.

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
