Terrifying crash for Akil Campbell  in the omnium. He went head first over the bike, but got up and walked off the track. First time I’ve seen a bike behave like that after contact with another rider. It basically somersaulted under him and threw him off. Weird.

In terms of team sports, Fistball would be more competitive than either cricket or lacrosse. Plus, you’d almost certainly have the top players present. Colombia would never add the sport, but Brazil could potentially be lobbied.

I assume a cricket competition would split the West Indies so there will actually be a decent number of teams.  would all be decent teams. Perhaps some of the smaller members of the West Indies could also take on  for a spot.

Cricket could be a tournament with Caribbean islands, Canada, USA and Argentina (as a token SA) appearance.
