MHSN 3,645 Posted February 16, 2020 #47 Share Posted February 16, 2020 (edited) it seems the Olympic dream for Sajjad Ganjzadeh is gone Poursheib won the gold after a great comeback. he was down 1-4 but finished it 7-4, that "Ashi Barai" at the end of the match was wow Zabih is now leading by something like 500pts and I don't see him not collecting enough points in remaining events. the level in 84kg is just not as good as +84kg. Edit: in WKF new ranking they still show Ganjzadeh in green and not Poursheib (despite having more points), I assume that's because Ganjzadeh is #1 in his weight class. MHSN 3,645 Posted February 28, 2020 #50 Share Posted February 28, 2020 quick review about what happened in 1st day of Austrian K1 event regarding Olympic qualification Women's Kata I think the qualification is done, we know the name of 4 qualified athletes here, Grace Lau and Sakura Kokumai joined and Women's 50kg only 3 athletes are left to grab the last quota and join it will be between Bahmanyar, Plank and Hubrich. despite poor result here Bahmanyar still has a much better chance. Women's 55kg it's not over yet for Jana Messerschmidt, she is in the final and if she wins the gold she will be closer to Wen (TPE) , Wen herself will fight for bronze. was already qualified before the event. Men's 60kg we knew is already qualified, it was between Creszezo and Samdan and the Italian beat the Turk in the SF. which means he will have something 1000pts advantage before the last 2 events. Men's 67kg was already qualified, Figueira had a good chance to seal the deal today but lost to some random guy from Austria. the Egyptian El-Sawy is now in bronze medal match he will close the gap to something like 300/400 before the last event for both of them. Men's 75kg despite not making to the final. both Luigi Busa and Rafael Aghayev are guaranteed an Olympic quota to join . the last quota will be between Horuna and Scott (with slim chance for Eltemur). Horuna made it to the final today to increase his chance massively phelps 1 Link to comment https://totallympics.com/forums/topic/2215-karate-wkf-premier-league-2020/page/5/#findComment-278165 Share on other sites
