:CAN Team Canada for the Final Olympic qualifier in Paris


Ryan O’Neil (men’s -67 kg kumite)
Mohammad Reza Nikbakhsh (men’s -75 kg kumite)
Daniel Gaysinsky (men’s +75 kg kumite)

Toshi Uchiage (men’s kata) - This name is interesting, he was the bronze medalist at the 2004! World Championships

all 3 Egyptian karaketas that didn't qualify to Olympics after world qualification tournament announced their retirement from the sport , i guess many players around the world will do the same 7 years for a very small chance to get included in Los angles Program will kill many's dreams

I would really not count on Karate being in the program for 2028 or 2032 unless it becomes a permanent sport (not impossible some existing sports get removed after 2024). Hard to imagine LA and Brisbane won’t recommend Skateboarding and Surfing, and that doesn’t leave a lot of room.
