A bit boring course in Kitzbuehel.

yes, he's Seb's son (he's already 21, however...I thought he was younger)...

French men's team must be extremely short on talent. I mean vets like Grange & Lizeroux are still here and hell, Lizeroux competed with Amiez Sr already and that was before the JP Vidal short-lived burst.

Well, course is a bit boring and easy. Therefore surprises and small time differences.

Ante Kostelić to set up the course for the second round, and see how cream rises to the top.

not that the Italian team looks a lot better...we still have to send true "veterans" like Moelgg, Gross, Razzoli down the slopes because we only have a couple of decent slalom specialists...:(

Tina Maze's magic skis are gone? It was no secret she used Maze's custom made skis once Tina retired. If she lost access to those (because why would Stoeckli continue to put so much effort since Stuhec isn't an all-arounder like Maze was) that explains it all IMO.

with Ika there are 2 things that changed her form. One is her psihological problems after all those falls and injuries and 2nd one is, that this new coach (who also trained some big names) wanted for her to be more careful,so not to go on corse 120% (like also Vonn did), but with more feeling. In that way you loose speed

+ Sun came out, so it is beneficial for the later starters.

Norwegian coach somehow managed to set such a boring course on an interesting slope like Kitzbuhel. It's an achievement in itself.

Laurie Taylor made the second run. :yikes:

Too bad ESP is broken, so I can't hear their commentator making this a hype of the month.

Reminds me of the old saying from Mario Andretti "If you have everything under control it means you're not driving fast enough".

Vonn's risky style was the main reason she won so many races. Sure, the injuries must be accounted for but if you pick safety over risk that means the results will simply go away. If Stuhec has a mental block because of the injuries then she's not gonna win a single race anymore IMO.

Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
