Isn’t :GUA NOC suspended by IOC? 
Are they still eligible for quota places?  as quotas are allocated to NoCs

Yes, they will just compete under the Olympic flag if the situation isn’t resolved by Paris.

Fitzsimmons :CAN with some horrible shooting in the mixed relay final :zip:

 

She goes from virtual gold medal to off the podium in two trips to the range.

Yup, that sounds like Fitzsimmons :p

 

During the individual laser run final, she was first to start, and was something like 30 or so points ahead of the third ranked North American athlete (for the Olympic quota), but instead misses about 1839302 targets and finishes almost 50 points back :facepalm::whistle:

 

She also struggled with her shooting during the individual laser run semifinal, it’s clearly not one of her strengths.

Only four pairings avoid elimination in the women’s relay. :CAN in prime position for a 4th place finish :p

Decent chance that only two teams finish on the lead lap in the women’s relay. Bronze medal could possibly go to a team lapped by the winners.

Men's team event is tight for the medals. This could be a great battle in the laser run.

      Malinin  opted for the 4-Axel in his Short Program, but faltered, landing him in 3rd thus far (and only 0.05 away from 4th!).  Surely he has the tools to rise back up in the Free Program.  (Also, perhaps this will serve to show him that he is in fact beatable.)

      I think they incorrectly translated Ukrainian word "nahorody" - it is not a full synonym of "medal". Its cocrrect translation is "award". Meanwhile russian tennis playes switched for Potapova ->  Rakhimova ->

      Ukrainian diver Lyskun switches allegiance to Russia, loses all medals | Olympics News | Al Jazeera   'loses all medals'   I would assume Al Jazeera could have been a bit clearer and mention this would presumably only be national medals. I mean, it's not like the Ukrainian federation, or any single federation for that matter, has the power to strip her of her world and European championships medals I hope (not for her sake, but because that would be a super weird precedent)

      Confirmation about the broadcasting rights.   If I'm reading it right, for most of Europe it will now be exclusive to Discovery/Eurosport or whatever brand they use.     For outside Europe, it's on YouTube.       Surely. Her first coach now works in russia (and grandma lives in russia according to Sereda). They were in contact and despite of full funding from  the girl decided to become the star of russian propaganda.  As I saw in X: "It took the Russians four years of war to find a relatively well-known sports personality to carry out such a propaganda operation."
