These are olympic champions in certain events.

Imagine that all these champions are on the top of their game at the very same moment in time.

Who would have won gold?

Snowboard, men's PGS...you can smell GOAT in the air...my pick can only be :CAN Jasey-Jay Anderson.

Snowboard, women's PGS...no brainer, of course...once again, my pick can only be :CZE Ester Ledecka.

Ski Jumping, men's Team Large Hill...it might be Germany, maybe it should be Austria...but when you've had the privilege of watching Matti Nykänen fly, there's no other pick than :FIN Finland.

Nordic Combined, Team Relay...Norway have been often so dominant...and Germany and Austria are also among the eternal powerhouses of the sport, but I just can't think of any other team than :FIN Finland 2002 (with athletes like Samppa Lajunen, Hannu Manninen and a great jumper like Jaakko Tallus).

Biathlon, women's Relay...I just can't believe that Germany didn't win gold when they had people like Magdalena Neuner and / or Petra Dahlmeier leading their team...

therefore, in a race that has often been won by unexpected teams, I'm gonna pick :SWE Sweden, more for their potential for the future than for how good they actually were last year (and they were good, I'm not underestimating them).

    • a nice story from Cyprus.   a popular Russian football blogger Evgeniy Savin established a football club Krasava (named after his blog, it means something like Cool fellow) in 2021. The next year Savin made an anti-war report, was declared wanted and had to flee. He moved team to Cyprus and it started playing in the second division. In the third season they promoted to the top Cyprus division. Not every day a blogger's team gets such promotion, especially in a foreign country

    • Now Drion from  and Filippov  are in for sure with Klette  having a pretty good lead for the last spot. In the women's Paller  and Murada  are in. The final spot could be interesting but Jagecikova  has a decent lead.
    • Sara Curtis improved her 100 free PB to 53.57 in the heats
    • The fact that he threw only 3 times over 70m tells you everything you need to know about Ramona. It's pure wind doping and you know it. It doesn't matter who competes there or not, the rules should be stricter when it comes to outside sources like the wind. If say 100m sprinters had such help they would run close to 9s. Those records wouldn't stand, but somehow they're still allowed in field events. If these records had any legitimacy the athletes would be throwing close to that mark regularly, yet they do not. That's my problem, I have no problems with athletes who go there to compete.
    • Such a cute venue. Really glad they found a use for it at these games.
