Tonight 19:15 is the team presentation at the main street. Already super excited, never been at a cycling team presentation personally before

 

and tomorrow 1st stage with start and finish in Košice, a bit flat stage, but looking forward to it too

Belgian Jumbo rider Nathan van Hooydonck was involved in a car accident in Belgium this morning, reportedly after becoming unwell. He was in the car with his pregnant wife, who got off without injuries, but Van Hooydonck was - according to a police spokesman - treated with CPR and taken to hospital in critical condition...not the first time they face hardship, one and a half year ago the couple lost their baby.

 

Three others were injured, although lightly.

According to Belgian media, doctors have said there is no brain damage, so that's a first somewhat positive sign. They are keeping him in an artificial coma for now.

Despite not a lot of people attended the ceremony, it still was an awesome experience to watch guys like Thibaut Pinot, Stefan Kung or Kasper Asgreen live waving towards me

Remi Cavagna won 1st stage after an impressive last 50km solo attack, in which he literally destroyed the competition, Mulu Hailemichael finished 2nd far behind, Asgreen brought the chase group in 3rd, Štoček was the first Slovak crossing the line today shortly before the peloton arrived.

2nd stage tomorrow from Prešov to Poprad, Heading to the Tatras

Raining cats and dogs during the entire today´s stage. Horrible weather accompanied the riders from Prešov to Poprad.

Despite several attacks the winner was decided in a bunch sprint.

 

And just like yesterday again it is a win for Soudal/Quick-step, this time Tim Merlier, who else won the sprint under the Tatras ahead of Cees Bol and Colby Simmons.

Hilly Stage 3 from Ružomberok to Martin (172km) ended by another win for Soudal/Quick-Step 3/3 so far for them, this time Andrea Bagioli won the sprint of a 4 riders group ahead of Gazzoli, Kung and Cavagna (leader of the GC)

 

Lukáš Kubiš brought the rest of the group and undressed Štoček from the best rider jersey

@hckošice Did they mention anything about technical issues or something in terms of making the broadcasts? The official YouTube channel has a sort of stream, but it's mostly consisting of showing a few seconds of cyclists, then one or two guys in a studio talking for a while, and then a few seconds of some cyclists again (but no graphic at all, so no idea how far to go, differences, etc, basically no information at all and we can't get it from watching because most of the time no cyclists are being shown at all ).

 

I presume there must be some sort of technical issue (Wednesday and yesterday at least, I didn't get to today's stream yet), but my Slovak is....well....yeah  

 

Mostly I'm happy with your reports here, so....gonna give it a try......hvala?
