Artistic Swimming at the Pan American Games 2019

Again with Colombia, I didn’t see any glaring errors, but the technicality and pacing wasn’t there. Still a good performance. I bet they beat Brazil, but it should be close.

The whole left side of the arena is sold out, nice to see

The Gym arena has been filled too. I think it just depends on the sport.

Peru will be 6th tonight. Technically there were better than both Cuba and Guatemala, but their execution wasn’t perfect. At least the Peruvian crowd seems to have liked the performance.

Great work from Canada

This is what difference the top 3 teams from the rest in my opinion: each choreographic movement is perfectly time with the music and it actually "tells a story".

Very clean throws, good lines... just a tiny lack of synchrony in one of their swimmers in the end, and almost at the beginning, but no doubt they should obtain the team quota.

I didn’t like that performance from Canada as much as their duet this morning. They will still win the gold medal and quota. They will be thing they do better than anyone (maybe even the top 5 in the world) is their throws. They send those girls to the moon.

I just love the first part of this routine, the rocket launch and the moon walk

Still some mistakes in synchro during the middle part, very noticeable compared to the Canadian team.

Let's see if the US team don't "steal"  the bronze from them.

Wonderful routine from Mexico. I liked it much more than Canada’s, but I do think Canada executed better and had a bit more technicality. That routine will be scored 86-88, but I’d give it a 89 myself.

Enjoyable routine from the US. Definitely third, but that was fun.

    • Record crowds for this weekend, according to the British Comms so well done  les bouffe-grenouilles!   Jeanmonnot has ice water in her veins, not giving anything away.   Minkinnen up to second!   That' s the win for , second for & a four-way fight for third!   Wierer takes it!   Top  only 12th, dear oh dear.

    • apparently the Japanese organizers rejected OCA's nice request    now OCA is ordering them to do so in a not-so-nice language https://oca.asia/media/attachments/memberships_subcommittee/5/Decision_-_103rd_OCA_EB_Meeting_5ypY8y4.pdf   the last line is very interesting   I knew this for a while, for example that's why Jujjtsu is included in all of OCA events (despite being the worst sport to watch) but good to see OCA admit this. so with the corrupt OCA you can buy your way in. how much they paid the OCA officials for this ?   OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.
    • Important information on team Aerials.   There is no AIN`s team at the start list of the world cup despite of the fact that belorussians have enough athletes to have a team.   https://medias4.fis-ski.com/pdf/2026/FS/8119/2026FS8119SLF1.pdf
    • By the way. It looks like no AIN`s will be in biathlon by the start of the Olympics. Russians filed an appeal to CAS to get AIN statuses in biathlon. But IBU did not agree to have hearings with short procedure. So the decisons are not expected before the end of qulifying period. (FIS could do the same but its top-officials prefer to help russians be back as quick as possible).   I would like to see Dolidovich at the Games. Because she is a real refugee of the relatively high level.
