Cebollitas is an old argentinian tv series of a group of young teenagers who play football in an small club of neighborhood, they went seconds in a tournament and after that they have a song which says "Cebollitas subcampeon", in summary: you are talking  about a "second place team/athletes" when you are talking about Cebollitas in Argentina.
