Giacomel's skiing is simply poor right now. He lost to the Swedes by 50 seconds today... With a ski- run like that, it'll be difficult to win any medals at the Olympics. A last ywar, he was consistently finishing in 4th or 5th place on ski, and he was supposed to be making progress. So far, I don't see it. 50 seconds in a race like that is a lot. Especially since there aren't any phenomenal figures here right now. These aren't times for Boe and Fourcade to dominate. -

Giacomel is getting weaker and weaker, and his running is poor. Nothing will come of it. Without Boe, he was supposed to be the fastest skier, but he's losing out to the Norwegians and Swedes. The rest of the squad, apart from Hofer, is essentially colapse. -
I'm glad the women's field keeps being interesting because on the men's side it looks like we already have our winner after only 3 stages 😅 -
