The night games are surely closer than expected.

 

:JPN leads 4-1 over :CHN after 7. For this game not to end in "early termination" is a win for :CHN. Ohtani was flawless in 4 innings only allowing 1 hit while striking out 5.

 

In the top of the 7th :ITA has a 1-0 lead on :CUB.

Donʻt forget Shohei is a two-way player. To go along with a strong pitching performance, Ohtani is now 2-3 at the plate with a 2-RBI double plus two walks.

Very respectable effort by China. Was definitely expecting the mercy rule. Going to be a big game for them and the :CZE Czechs coming up tomorrow
