Canada gets a spot in men’s beach volleyball !

Is that what happened? I'm watching on youtube with Spanish commentary and I was just generally confused.

EDIT: I think there is one more game to go.

No there is a golden set still left between the two winning teams, winner of that gets the quota.

Malik is racig on the 30th, too late for qualification for Tokyo.

Not sure why ??

I mean its a bit strange that the qualification date ends on the day before the last day of the month, but that should be filtered down to the athletes.

I thought Dabrowski would play with Fernandez (based on French Open). Tennis Canada has the ultimate say. They could put Andrescu/Fichman together as well.

@intorontodo you know what other team Canada teams are announcing their athletes this week? I feel like there's probably more announcements to drop soon.

Athletics is supposed to be Friday

Cycling is next week Tuesday

Those are the only 2 I know

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
