Stunning display as around 500 students hold lit torches around the track. There was an amazing overhead shot.

Message about unity against climate change. It is a life and death matter for these countries. Some are at danger of sinking back into the Pacific within the next 20-50 years :cry:.

The cauldron is lit! It was a beautiful ceremony, and in my opinion better than the Universiade and European Games ceremonies. Now for a 20 minute firework show sponsored by the People’s Republic of China :d

Wow what a ceremony :wub:. I’m even more ready for these games now. I’ll post a replay when I find one because it’s well worth a watch.
