Germany has “upped-the-ante” for this year’s edition of the Invictus Games. They’ve contracted ISB (International Sports Broadcasting) as the host broadcaster, and Atos as the results provider. The Netherlands edition was pretty invisible internationally, so it will be interesting to see if this edition gets a little more attention. The LOC will also be livestreaming competitions on YouTube.

:COL:ISR:NGR will make their debut as well.

Interesting event, politically. Can be viewed as analogous to a Para World Military Games (I'd avoid 'World Paramilitary Games' for fear of Hezbollah rocking up) See also Shooting Parasport (rather than parashooting...) but unashamedly represents one bloc.

Oh, definitely. It’s basically the NATO+Friends Wounded Warrior Games. It’s mission certainly includes some individual rehabilitation and public awareness, along with the added bonus of strengthening political/cultural connections.

Prishtina :KOS confirmed as host of the 2030 Mediterranean Games.

I’m sure there won’t be any geopolitical issues with that :p

Interesting concept to take a larger indoor venue, and then smaller sub-venues inside. It’s like a beach games set up almost.

Clever. Reminds me of the Miami Open Tennis in the Hard Rock. more hosts should think on this line.

Toronto 2015 did this with Boxing/Weightlifting (though events happened on different days) + multiple Parapan events at one venue

Germany has put together a beautiful venue that I believe I can see through the most pixelated stream I’ve seen in a while

Okay, having the kids of athletes (or relatives) bring out the flag during the opening ceremony was such a great idea
