I think we have 2 genuine medal prospects this time. Shetty/Rankireddy and Sen. I feel Lakshya is a great medal prospect if he gets a bit lucky with the draw.

And so do the men!!!   :thumbup:Our contingent increases by 8 now. We still have a chance for qualifying for mixed team if we get top 2 timings among non qualified nations. There is Asian Relays later this month

I think we can count 10 athletes for 2 relays , as each relay team has an official squad allocation of 5 athletes. Similar to hockey/football where squad allocation is 16/18 players but 11 will be on the field.
So Another 10 added to the contingent which takes us to 83 in 12 sports

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
