That website is shite but the finals being on BBC is nice. For such a big event it's weird how it's online-only, even random Diamond League meetings are live on BBC Three

As now we come across the world
To share these Games of old
Let all the flags of every land
In brotherhood unfold

I was afraid that would happen.  It’s the same when they cover athletics. They do a live stream, but instead of just putting the livestream on the website after the event finishes, they break it up event by event, which always creates delays.

The evening sessions are going to be on BBC streaming also, so they’re usually on the BBC iplayer 1-2 hours after the event.

Yeah, everything seems to be streaming only. It's not on Belgian TV, Dutch NOS will start an hour after the session started, not on BBC (TV), doesn't seem to be on German TV. It's like every channel is ignoring the existence of the FINA sports nowadays. How are people supposed to get interested in such an incredibly invisible sport? :d

They usually do a bit more when it’s later in the year, but this time it’s Tennis Month at the BBC so…

Might be something to do with how the rights were obtained by the EBU?

I think it’s more to do with all the knock-on changes from the originally-planned Fukuoka 2021. TV Companies have their sports schedules set & the rights paid for years in advance, so when a major event is changed at (relativity) the last minute, it gets bumped to the bottom of the priorities list.

My picks for today, probably all wrong.

M 400 free - 1. Lukas Martens GER

W 400 free - 1. Katie Ledecky USA
M 400 IM - 1. Carson Foster USA

W 4x100 free - 1. Australia but USA close 2nd

M 4x100 free - I would like Australia to win but it will probably be USA unless some DSQ
