Morais, after losing 10-0 to Zhou in the quarterfinals, had to wait and see whether Zhou would win her semifinal today to advance to the repechage. Three wins away from a quota though, Ha in the 1st round, before potential encounters against Hristova for bronze, and Shauchuk/Hanzlikova/Anghel for the Olympic quota.

Just realized she won world bronze in 2022 and beat people who have qualified. She might have an outside shot at a medal?

It's the only time she's been at the world's at this weightclass too so its possible. It really does depend on the draw.

Ana Godinez won gold in women’s 62kg at the Budapest Ranking Series a couple of days ago! 
 

Two solid wins over Nunez and Bullen, before a W/O over Koliadenko in the final.

Some promising results at the U23 Pan AMs. No golds however, and the women's team ranked fifth overall
