Tomorrow the most exciting thing about the men's race will be the battle for the mass start globe (even though there could have no suspense very early in the race)

Well it's already over :(

Wierer basically saying she's gonna make up for months without her partner in the hotel room tonight

They better have some good sound isolation.

however, her husband is part of the staff of the Italian team...

so, it's not that they haven't been together since a long time ago...:p

So, next season, who's gonna fight for the overall win? :p

Wierer

Vittozzi

Eckhoff

Dahlmeier

Herrmann

Öberg

Roeiseland

Egan

Quite some potential.

if Dahlmeier takes it seriously from the beginning to the end of the season, there's no way she's gonna be beaten...

if she leaves some space to the others (like this year), well, my bet is on Oeberg more than anybody else...and I wouldn't rule Davidova out...she could/shoul be the next star of this game...

maybe she has self-imposed some kind of a break to the extra-curricular activities in this season's finale to save some energy and now she feels she wants to make up for that...

I don't get the anti-JTB sentiment around here. Sure, he dominated the whole season, but boohoo. Fourcade did the same thing for 8 long years. Not to mention how his dominance probably created someone like JTB in the first place.

I don't notice a lot of anti-JTB sentiment, just anti-boring races sentiment. We've had that with Fourcade a billion times and now it's the same thing (or worse). Nothing against JTB himself, he seems pretty cool.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
    • Are we supposed to take Daly's word for it or is this just public posturing to try and shame the Milan organizers (which they certainly deserve for all the delays) in order to threaten NHL participation?
    • Well that was a disappointing opening ceremony. Not to mention the boss is late too...   Anyway this is another victim of bureaucracy, the initial creative director quit in October and we get this kind of show.   Original plan: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17EVayTpig/
    • Japan missed their last shot with hammer in the 10th last night against the Philippines for them to stay alive.  USA's remaining 2 games are against Philippines and Netherlands, so they have a tough road ahead, although they've already beaten Japan, so that helps for tiebreaker purposes.
    • They have already beaten Japan, so a win would them in a strong place.
