WKF Karate Senior World Championships

The 24th Karate World Championships are Karate's biggest event.

Held every two years, the Karate Senior World Championships gather athletes from over a hundred countries in a thrilling quest to sports greatness.

The tournament will take place at the WiZink Center sports hall in Madrid (Spain).

The competition acquires even greater importance since the Spanish capital will host the last World Championships to be held before Karate's debut at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

The 24th World Championships will be the competition providing the highest number of points for athletes to qualify for the Olympic Games.

The appeal of this spectacular sport is showcased in its three modalities: the action and speed of Kumite, the power and spirit of Kata, and the courage and resilience of Para-Karate.

Repubblica will stream in Italy?:yikes:

actually, it's PMG sport (Repubblica is only one of the media with a link to them), as always...;)

the nice Chiara Soldi will have to carry a lot work, I guess...

by the way, they also post their broadcast on youtube, so you can get it ondemand, too (even if when you look for it ondemand on YT it's impossible to avoid spoilers about the Italian athletes, as they also post the videos of their single matches with a spoling title)...

    • Update after Matchdays 8 and 9.   Group A:  is almost a lock with 21p, and 7 games 7 wins. Almost impossible for them to not qualify. The battle is in the second place between  (16p) and  (13p).  with 8p is almost out.  and  eliminated.   Group B:  won both of the 2 games so is almost secured with 19p.  is second with 14p, with  (1 more game played) and  with 11p.  is eliminated and  practically too (6p)   Group C:  went 2 out of 2 so they are still first with 16p and one game less than the rest.
