Olympian1010 7,973 Posted October 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2018 Well, I’m think about reading John K.’s Into Thin Air followed by the rebuttal book The Climb because I’ve spent all week reading about the history of Mt.Everest and Mountaineering. “Sport has the power to change the world. AlFHg 330 Posted July 1, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2019 I have just finished reading the very last book by De Giovanni on his character, commissioner Ricciardi. I feel very sad, like a very close friend passed out

AlFHg 330 Posted July 18, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) Another bad in Italy: today died Luciano de Crescenzo, a famous Italian (and Neapolitan) philosopher, writer and movie director. Today I feel as my conscience has lost some pieces, as he was the writer of one of my favourite books, “Così parlò Bellavista” (more or less could be translated as “Prof. Bellavista’s way of thinking”), which is of continuous inspiration through my whole life. Together with other De Crescenzo’s works, as those dealing with Ancient Greek mythology, they were translated in a lot of languages, and I really suggest you to read it Edited July 18, 2019 by AlFHg Gianlu33
Olympian1010 7,973 Posted March 11, 2020 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2020 Since we’re a bit low on sports right now (thanks Coronavirus), I thought I’d ask what everyone’s favorite pieces of literature are? Here’s a few of mine: Favorite Book: Things Fall Apart Favorite Poem: A Flor e a Nausea Favorite Myth: Ragnarok “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire.
