Why not ?

Both of them won Olympic medals individually at Tokyo, and only a relay medal has been stripped from the Chinese team. Plus they’ve both competed internationally within the couple of years, and are both competing at the Chinese Olympic Trials. If they were doping they wouldn’t be entered as they would be serving a ban.

They just announced zhang yufei tested positive before the games and allowed her to compete anyways a few hours ago. And also stated all 9 medal winners from China in Tokyo tested positive so that would include binjie now.

Well now I’m confused. A WA spokesperson has denied that the Chinese 4x200m freestyle relay has been disqualified according to SwimSwam.

Little bit of news lower down the ranks. Just half a week out from Olympic Trials, there’s an age group meet going on in Markham called the Mac Spring Long Course Invitational. At 11 years-old, Annie Xu clocked a 4:26.52 in the women’s 400m freestyle, which bettered her previous NAG of 4:30.45 by almost four seconds! For some added context, McIntosh was 4:34.48 at the same age…

Shes entered in the women’s 1500m freestyle at the Canadian Olympic Trials.

Really intriguing prospect heading into LA 2028/Brisbane 2032.
